There are a few different types of websites that, because of functionality, are in different sections.

We'll start with the basics and work our way up the ladder.

Brochure Sites:

These sites are generally four or five pages that are along the lines of "Hi! This is our website, and information about us."

This is a static website, that doesn't get much updating and does the job of getting a web presence established.

The cost break down:

• Domain Registration - This costs Corbin Web Works $9.95 per year, we don't mark it up, so the cost is passed to the clients.
• Website Design - This starts at $495.00 and can escalate depending on the complexity of the design, as well as the use of things like Flash.
• Website Hosting - Our hosting fees for a Brochure site start at $10.95 per month, however this can change depending on usage, e-mail, and other factors. Discounts are often given for paying for an entire year in advance.
• Website Maintenance - Corbin Web Works charges a flat rate of $40.00 per hour to edit, or maintain a website.

Client Maintained Sites:

Frankly, Corbin Web Works would rather you have total control over your website. Client maintained sites are set up to make it easy for clients to add content, edit content, add or remove pages, or make any changes you like.

These websites require knowledge of software designed to create and edit websites, like Adobe Contribute or Kompozer which don't require you to know complicated HTML code. These are called WYSIWYG editors and are often no more complicated to use than Microsoft Word.

The cost break down:

• Domain Registration - This costs Corbin Web Works $9.95 per year, and we encourage our clients to register their own domain names through companies like GoDaddy, or Names4Ever.com, so our clients can maintain control over their domain name.
• Website Design - This starts at $495.00 and just as above can escalate depending on complexity.
• Website Hosting - Hosting fees start at $15.95 per month for this type of site, but come with an extra layer of support where Corbin Web Works will assist you without charging support fees, again pre-paid discounts are available.
• Website Maintenance - Generally this is kept to a minimum on these types of sites, however we still charge $40.00 per hour to work on your site for you.

Portal Websites:

Here, we ratchet the complexity up a few notches. Portal sites are generally driven by databases, and have a web-based interface to maintain the site. While these sites are easy for our clients to use, they require some training time with the client to educate them on how to maintain the site.

The flexibility and scalability of these sites mean they can do, everything. From online shopping carts, to messageboards and social networking. It's easy to create a community online with these portal sites.

• Domain Registration - Same as above.
• Website Design - Portal sites start at $495.00 but also carry a $250.00 setup fee.
• Website Hosting - Hosting fees for a portal site start at $24.95 per month. This amount will be revisited every 6 months and adjusted up or down depending on usage.
• Website Maintenance - A flat rate of $40.00 per hour.
• Portal Training - 2 hours are included in the the $250.00 setup fee from above, additional time is billed at $40.00 per hour.
